The Georgian Dream party has emerged victorious in Georgia's recent parliamentary elections, securing 52.99% of the vote, according to the Central Election Commission.
Giorgi Kalandarishvili, chairman of the commission, announced that based on early data from 2,206 polling stations, Georgian Dream garnered 935,004 votes.
Among the opposition, the Coalition for Change led with 11.2%, followed by the United National Movement with 9.8%, Strong Georgia with 9.0%, and Gakharia for Georgia with 8.2%.
The elections were conducted in a peaceful and free environment, with the chairman noting, \"For the first time, we used special voter verification equipment and can confidently say that the elections were held successfully.\"
