Iran Strongly Condemns Israeli Airstrikes, Asserts Right to Defend

Iran's foreign ministry on Saturday condemned the recent Israeli air strikes targeting its military installations, declaring that Iran is \"entitled and obligated to defend itself against external aggressive acts.\"

In a statement, the ministry labeled the Israeli attack as a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. Tehran emphasized its commitment to regional peace and security, stating, \"We recognize our responsibilities towards regional peace and security.\"

The statement also criticized the ongoing occupation, illegal actions, and crimes conducted by Israel, which it claims are supported militarily and politically by the United States and certain Western countries. Iran pointed to these actions as the primary sources of tension and insecurity in the region.

Earlier in the day, Iran's army confirmed that two Iranian soldiers were killed in the Israeli strike.
