Ten Iranian border guards were killed in a terrorist attack in Sistan and Baluchestan province in southeast Iran on Saturday, according to the country's interior ministry and police.
In a statement published on its official news website, Iran's police command stated that the forces, comprising conscripts and policemen, were ambushed by \"criminal terrorists\" as they were returning to their station from a mission to provide security services to citizens in Taftan County.
The interior ministry added that it has formed an investigation team to look into the attack.
