Global South Unites for Inclusive Prosperity at BRICS Summit

The Global South, accounting for approximately 40% of global GDP and encompassing 85% of the world's population, is cementing its role in shaping international affairs. As the BRICS nations convene for their annual summit in Kazan, the focal point shifts to the pressing issues affecting developing countries.

In conjunction with the summit, the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the China Media Group (CMG) hosted the "Peace Β· Development Β· Security: Jointly Build a Prosperous World with a Shared Future" Global South Think Tanks Forum.

Representatives from 76 countries, including dignitaries, government officials, think tank scholars, and media personnel, participated both online and offline. The forum served as a platform to deliberate on the trajectory of global development in a time marked by significant change and uncertainty.
