Israel Declares Five New Areas Along Lebanon Border as Closed Military Zones

In a move signaling heightened tensions, Israel's army declared five new areas along its border with Lebanon as closed military zones on Saturday. The declaration comes as Israeli troops continue to engage Hezbollah forces within Lebanon.

The military statement announced that the regions of Zarit, Shomera, Shtula, Netua, and Even Menachem in northern Israel would be designated closed military zones starting at 20:00 local time (17:00 GMT). Entry to these areas is strictly prohibited, emphasizing the seriousness of the current security situation.

The establishment of these zones aims to secure critical regions and prevent any unauthorized access during ongoing military operations. The closure is a precautionary measure to safeguard both military personnel and civilians amidst the ongoing conflict with Hezbollah.
