The Chinese mainland opposes U.S. efforts to establish legal grounds for selling arms to the Taiwan region under the so-called "PORCUPINE Act."
At a press conference held by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council in Beijing, spokesperson Zhu Fenglian responded to a CGTN question about the Providing Our Regional Companions Upgraded Protection in Nefarious Environments Act, which aims to streamline procedures for selling weapons to the Taiwan region.
