PLA Air Force University Launches 6th International Cadets Week

This week, the PLA Air Force Engineering University in Xi’an City on the Chinese mainland launched its 6th International Cadets Week, bringing together military cadets from China and 17 other countries, including Indonesia and Egypt. Under the banner of "Mutual Exchange and Learning, Enhancing Friendship, and Striving Together for a Better Future," participants will dive into a range of activities designed to build skills and foster cross-cultural ties.

Over seven days, more than 10 Chinese military academies and their international counterparts will work in mixed teams, tackling joint training modules that span technical workshops, leadership simulations, and field exercises. By combining perspectives from diverse regions, cadets gain hands-on experience in collaborative problem solving and strategic planning.

Cultural nights and city tours in historic Xi’an will add a local flavor to the intensive program, encouraging cadets to share traditions, languages, and culinary experiences. Organizers hope these moments of cultural immersion will deepen mutual respect and create lasting friendships across borders.

With global security challenges evolving faster than ever, this annual gathering highlights the role of early-career military leaders in building trust and resilience. As cadets return home, they carry new networks and insights—ingredients for a safer, more interconnected future.
