At least 46 people were killed and dozens injured when two buses collided head-on on the Kampala-Gulu highway just after midnight on October 22 in Uganda’s Kiryandongo district.
The crash occurred as both buses attempted to overtake other vehicles under darkness, highlighting the risks of nighttime travel on one of the country’s major routes.
President Yoweri Museveni offered his condolences to the families of the victims and called for a thorough investigation into the causes of the tragic accident.
