At a United Nations meeting on Monday marking the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Women’s Conference, Huang Xiaowei, deputy head of the National Working Committee on Children and Women of the Chinese State Council, highlighted China’s progress in women’s rights.
Huang said China has honored its commitments from the Beijing Women’s Conference by improving opportunities for women in education, health and employment.
She also underscored China’s push for global cooperation, citing awards programs, training initiatives, development aid and new digital platforms designed to connect advocates, share best practices and empower women worldwide.
As the world reflects on three decades since the landmark conference, Huang’s remarks point to ongoing efforts to expand partnerships and drive real-world impact for women across borders.
