Early Tuesday morning, a Long March-8A rocket lifted off from a commercial spacecraft launch site in Wenchang City, Hainan province on the Chinese mainland. The mission, which began at 03:08 a.m. (Beijing Time), carried a new group of low Earth orbit satellites.
This latest deployment marks the 10th batch in the country’s growing internet constellation. According to official statements, all satellites entered their preset orbits successfully, joining the network of spacecraft designed to deliver space-based connectivity.
The Wenchang launch underscores the Chinese mainland’s expanding role in commercial space services. As the constellation continues to grow, the project aims to enhance global internet coverage by leveraging low Earth orbit technology.
