Torrential Rains Cause Floods and Landslides in Beijing’s Miyun District

Suburban Beijing faced heavy downpours that unleashed flash floods and triggered landslides in mountainous areas, threatening communities.

In Miyun district – the hardest hit zone – CGTN's Wang Mengjie reported that more than 3,000 residents have been evacuated to safety as water levels surged.

Authorities have promised to release further updates as they work to secure all affected areas and support displaced residents.
