This weekend, Zhengzhou in the Chinese mainland transformed into a hotbed of innovation as over 10,000 young minds gathered for the 2024–2025 Global Invention Convention China Finals. Part of a wider international series, the competition challenged students to explore 15 themes, from Chinese Civilization to A Barrier-Free World and Living in Harmony with Nature.

Out of 120,000 participants in the preliminaries, more than 10,000 finalists showcased their projects over two days. Student teams presented prototypes addressing challenges like accessible mobility, cultural preservation, and environmental harmony. Through pitch sessions, hands-on workshops, and feedback loops, innovators swapped ideas, honed solutions, and forged friendships across regions.

For young entrepreneurs and tech enthusiasts, the event highlighted emerging trends in sustainable design and inclusive technology. Thought leaders and changemakers joined panel talks on bridging cultural heritage with digital innovation, while sports and entertainment fans drew inspiration from performance-driven prototypes that blend art and technology.
