Trump Tees Off in Scotland Amid Mass Protests and UK Trade Talks

U.S. President Donald Trump spent Saturday playing golf at his coastal course in Scotland, drawing both supporters on the green and protesters in the streets.

An estimated 500 demonstrators rallied in Edinburgh while around 300 gathered in Aberdeen, accusing UK leaders of “pandering” to Trump’s visit and calling for stronger local voices in international diplomacy.

Joined by his son Eric, Trump also prepared to unveil a new Trump course near Aberdeen before heading back to Washington, D.C. on Tuesday.

Beyond the fairways, the president is expected to sit down with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen for crucial trade talks aimed at reshaping post-Brexit commerce.

This blend of leisure and statecraft underscores how high-profile visits can spark debate on protest rights, political influence, and the future of global trade.
