Global housing crisis is deepening, UN-Habitat warns. Executive Director Anacldaudia Rossbach tells CGTN host Wang Guan that despite global efforts, over 2.8 billion people live in inadequate housing. Among them, more than 1.1 billion reside in slums or informal settlements, and over 300 million are completely homeless.
Regionally, the situation is dire: in African cities, 62% of urban housing is informal. In the Asia-Pacific region, 500 million lack access to basic water services, and over 1 billion go without adequate sanitation.
