On the vast, windswept grasslands of Ruoergai in southwest China, a simple camera is bridging distances and preserving memories.
Known affectionately as 'Brother Fan', Party member Fan Heqi has spent the past year traveling between herding households. Using his lens, he has captured over 600 family portraits—many of which were the first ever taken by these families.
But Fan's work goes beyond photography. His portraits document moments of joy, identify families in need and bring cultural services and the Party's care to this remote region. By turning each image into a snapshot of community life, he ensures that support reaches those who need it most.
This Party Founding Day, we celebrate heroes like Brother Fan, whose compassion and dedication remind us that change often starts with human connection and a shared story.
