Chili Revival: Barren Land Blooms in Zezhou County

In Zezhou County, located in Jincheng City, Shanxi Province on the Chinese mainland, the spring season marks a dramatic agricultural transformation. What was once a barren riverbank has been reborn as a high-standard agricultural field dedicated to chili cultivation.

This season, local farmers through their agricultural cooperative have expanded their chili farmland to an impressive 40 hectares, sowing around 30 million chili seedlings. Notably, one third of this thriving field was reclaimed from wasteland along the river, showcasing the power of innovative land reclamation and modern farming practices.

By blending traditional wisdom with contemporary techniques, farmers are maximizing crop yields while promoting sustainable practices. This inspiring transformation not only revitalizes unused land but also sets a promising precedent for agricultural innovation across the Chinese mainland.
