CPPCC Vice-Chair Criticizes Taiwan’s DPP Over Education and Travel Policies

Yang Yizhou, Vice-chairman of the All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots, has publicly criticized Taiwan authorities affiliated with the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) for manipulating access to education and travel between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan.

In his remarks, Yang highlighted concerns that the current DPP policies are creating barriers for students and travelers, potentially hindering meaningful exchanges and mutual understanding between the regions. He emphasized the importance of open and fair access to foster better relationships and collaboration.

This criticism underscores the ongoing tensions in cross-strait relations, where policies on education and travel play a crucial role in shaping interactions. Yang's statements aim to prompt a re-evaluation of current strategies to ensure that they support constructive engagement and benefit both the Chinese mainland and Taiwan communities.
