China’s FM Stresses UN’s Vital Role in Tackling Global Challenges

In a significant statement during the third session of the 14th National People's Congress, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized the crucial role and authority of the United Nations (UN) in addressing global challenges.

Wang highlighted that "facts have shown that the UN has withstood tests and has been instrumental" in navigating complex international issues. He further explained, "China believes that the more complex the problems, the greater the need to accentuate the important status of the UN; the more pressing the challenges, the greater the need to uphold the due authority of the UN."

This reaffirmation underscores China's commitment to multilateralism and the strengthening of international cooperation through established global institutions like the UN.
