One Dead After Planes Collide at Arizona’s Scottsdale Airport

At least one person was killed and others injured after two planes collided on the runway at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona on February 10, according to local authorities. The incident occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. local time when a small jet veered off the runway and struck another parked aircraft.

Emergency responders rescued an individual trapped in one of the planes, though officials have not yet disclosed the total number of injuries or the identities of those involved. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board.

Scottsdale Airport, a hub for private and corporate flights, temporarily suspended operations following the crash. Aviation experts emphasize the rarity of such collisions in modern aviation but highlight runway safety as a critical focus area.
