A delegation of 32 Chinese enterprises, led by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), arrived in Kazakhstan this week to deepen cross-border economic collaboration. Representatives from sectors including renewable energy, finance, aviation logistics, and machinery manufacturing aim to expand partnerships under China's Belt and Road Initiative framework.
The visit underscores growing interest in Central Asia's emerging markets, with Kazakhstan serving as a strategic hub for Eurasian trade. Analysts highlight Kazakhstan's lithium and uranium reserves as key draws for green energy and tech manufacturing suppliers. Meanwhile, joint infrastructure projects in transport and water conservancy could address regional supply chain challenges.
CCPIT emphasized “practical, win-win cooperation” during talks with Kazakh businesses, aligning with Beijing”s push for high-tech and sustainable partnerships. The move coincides with a 14% year-on-year rise in China-Kazakhstan trade, reaching $41 billion in 2023.
