OCA Official Praises Harbin’s 2025 Asian Winter Games Prep

Harbin, a city renowned for its ice sculptures and winter tourism, is gearing up to host the 2025 Asian Winter Games, set to open on February 7. Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Director General Husain Al-Musallam toured the event's main media center this week, commending organizers for their meticulous preparations.

During his visit, Al-Musallam distributed commemorative pins to workers and volunteers, emphasizing the Games' role in fostering regional unity. 'This event will showcase not just winter sports, but the warmth of cross-cultural collaboration,' he stated, highlighting Harbin's upgraded infrastructure designed to accommodate over 2,000 athletes from 45 countries and regions.

The Games are expected to boost technological innovation in winter sports logistics, with smart venue management systems developed by Chinese tech firms. Meanwhile, sustainability initiatives, including carbon-neutral ice-making technologies, align with global climate action goals – a key focus for young changemakers.
