At the onset of China's presidency of the United Nations Security Council, China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Fu Cong, voiced strong opposition to the United States' recent decision to increase tariffs. Speaking at a press conference held at the UN headquarters in New York on Monday, Fu Cong emphasized that the tariff hike violates World Trade Organization (WTO) regulations.
