A magnitude-6.8 earthquake struck southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, affecting more than 61,000 people amidst bitter cold weather. In response to the disaster, local officials have prioritized the resettlement of affected residents and the commencement of post-disaster reconstruction efforts.
To facilitate the relocation process, 224 resettlement sites have been set up to accommodate 47,500 residents. These sites are equipped with necessary amenities to ensure the well-being of those displaced by the earthquake.
