Xizang Earthquake Relief: Over 30,000 Resettled as Construction Advances

A powerful magnitude-6.8 earthquake struck Dingri County in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region on Tuesday morning, prompting swift and comprehensive rescue and relief efforts.

As search and rescue operations enter their final stages, the regional government announced significant progress in rebuilding and resettling affected communities. Construction workers are diligently building new bunkhouses to provide safe and sustainable accommodations for those displaced by the quake.

To date, approximately 30,400 residents have been relocated to temporary settlements, ensuring that they have secure housing while reconstruction continues. The efficient response has also ensured that all injured individuals have received necessary medical treatment and care.
