Single-Lane Traffic Restored on Five Roads in Xizang After Earthquake

In the aftermath of a magnitude-6.8 earthquake, Dingri County in Xigaze City, located within the Xizang Autonomous Region of the Chinese mainland, has seen significant progress in restoring transportation infrastructure.

By 5:00 p.m. on January 7, emergency repairs successfully reopened five roads to single-lane traffic, facilitating crucial movement for residents and aid services. The local transport authorities played a pivotal role, deploying 474 personnel and 394 machines to expedite the restoration process.

This swift action demonstrates the commitment of local authorities to ensure road access and support the community's recovery efforts following the seismic event. Continued monitoring and repairs are expected to further enhance connectivity in the affected areas.
