In a significant move towards advancing energy research, Ma Ying-jeou, the former chairman of the Kuomintang Party, recently visited the Southwestern Institute of Physics in Chengdu, the site of China's groundbreaking \"Man-made Sun\" nuclear fusion project. This visit follows his recent trip to Harbin Electric Corporation in Harbin, northeast China's earliest R&D and manufacturing hub for power generation equipment. Through these visits, Ma and his foundation aim to foster greater collaboration between Taiwan and the Chinese mainland in the fields of nuclear fusion and power technology.
