Djokovic fights through blister; Sinner shines in French Open second round

At Roland-Garros, Novak Djokovic battled not just his opponent but a stubborn blister to triumph 6-3, 6-2, 7-6(1) over France’s Corentin Moutet, sealing his spot in round three of the French Open.

Djokovic cruised through the first two sets, only to face his toughest challenge in the third. A medical timeout to treat a painful blister briefly halted his momentum. Trailing 5-6 and saving a set point, he regrouped, dominated the tiebreak, and closed out the match.

"The blister complicated things for a while, but I stayed calm and focused," Djokovic said. "The crowd was electric when momentum shifted. Finishing strong was key."

Italian sensation Jannik Sinner also marked a milestone by advancing to round three, asserting himself as a top contender on the clay.

Up next for Djokovic is Austria’s Filip Misolic, while Sinner will face his own challenge to keep the momentum going.
