Railway travel hit a record high on Tuesday, with 21.45 million trips, according to the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. (China Railway). The transport sector anticipates handling an average of 277 million passenger trips daily during the week-long holiday, reflecting a 19.4% increase from 2019.

Macao SAR played a pivotal role in amplifying market vitality by launching a large-scale shopping event on September 30, in collaboration with the Macao Chamber of Commerce. Over 22,000 businesses participated, aiming to drive business growth amidst the festive atmosphere.

Additionally, Macao SAR celebrated National Day with a series of events, including a flag-raising ceremony, the opening of the fourth sea-crossing bridge, and a spectacular fireworks display. To enhance the shopping experience, the Macao Consumer Council distributed guides at major border checkpoints, highlighting \"certified shops\" and consumer protection information. Travelers have praised the guides for their comprehensive and practical insights, boosting their confidence in making purchases.

These initiatives not only foster a vibrant holiday spirit but also contribute to sustained economic growth, demonstrating the robust market vitality fueled by the National Day travel surge.
