China Welcomes Surge in Tourists with New Open Policies

The Chinese mainland is experiencing a tourism boom, with foreign visitors flocking to explore its rich cultural heritage and vibrant cities. According to a spokesperson from the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the surge in China tours is a testament to the country’s continuous policy of openness and its dedication to enhancing tourist services.

Lin Jian, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, highlighted during a press conference the significant increase in foreign tourists sharing their experiences online. \"I've seen numerous videos from international bloggers traveling and filming around China, and it's clear that more and more foreign friends are coming to and falling in love with our country,\" Lin stated.

In the first seven months of this year alone, over 17 million foreign nationals entered China, marking a staggering year-on-year increase of nearly 130%. Additionally, international passenger flights have surpassed 6,300 per week, reflecting a nearly 10% rise since the end of June.

These impressive numbers are supported by a series of policies aimed at facilitating inbound travel. China has introduced a trial visa-free entry policy for 15 countries for stays of up to 15 days. Moreover, mutual visa exemption agreements have been established with six countries, including Singapore and Thailand. The 144-hour visa-free transit policy has also been extended to 37 ports and 54 countries, making it easier for travelers to experience the best of China.

These initiatives not only allow tourists to visit world heritage sites in Beijing, enjoy the vibrant night scenes on Shanghai's Bund, and explore historical sites in Shanxi's ancient provinces but also demonstrate China's sincere commitment to expanding its openness to the world.

\"The beautiful, diverse, open, and warmhearted China welcomes everyone to visit often,\" Lin concluded, emphasizing the nation's eagerness to share its unique experiences with the global community.
