To celebrate the 41st Luoyang Peony Festival and enrich visitors' experiences, the Longmen Grottoes in Henan's Luoyang launched an exciting night tourism project on March 20. As dusk settles, the grottoes are illuminated with warm lights, highlighting their ancient beauty.
This renowned UNESCO Heritage Site, listed in 2000, boasts tens of thousands of statues, caves, and niches that showcase the exquisite craftsmanship and deep-rooted Buddhist culture of China’s past. The grottoes are a treasure trove of Buddhist art from the Northern Wei Dynasty (386–534) and Tang Dynasty (618–907), offering a glimpse into the rich religious and artistic heritage of the era.
