China’s Spring Festival Box Office Surpasses 6 Billion Yuan with ‘YOLO’ Leading

As of 1:19 p.m. on February 15, the sixth day of the Spring Festival holiday, China's Spring Festival box office revenue, including pre-sales, has exceeded 6.2 billion yuan (around $871 million), making it among the top three in the history of Chinese Spring Festival box office, according to data from Lighthouse, an Alibaba-owned box office tracker.

Domestic comedy film \"YOLO\" continued to top China's daily box office chart on Thursday, according to data.

The movie tells the story of an unemployed woman in her 30s who still lives with her parents until she meets a boxing coach who may change her life. As of Thursday, the film has grossed more than 2.1 billion yuan in its first six days.

The domestic comedy-drama \"Pegasus 2\" came in second, grossing over 1.8 billion yuan in total.

It was followed by the domestic animated film \"Boonie Bears: Time Twist,\" which exceeded 1 billion yuan during the holiday.
