Macao Celebrates Chinese New Year with Grand Golden Dragon Parade

In a spectacular display of tradition and festivity, the tourism authority of the Macao Special Administrative Region organized a vibrant community roadshow at the iconic Ruins of St. Paul's and Senado Square on the first day of the Chinese New Year.

Drawing crowds from all walks of life, the event featured a stunning 238-meter-long golden dragon accompanied by 18 lively dancing lions. Together with the God of Fortune and the three Gods of Happiness, Prosperity, and Longevity, they greeted and handed out golden ingots to both residents and visitors, symbolizing wealth and good luck for the Year of the Dragon.
