China Expands Visa-Free Travel with Singapore and Malaysia

China continues to enhance global mobility by signing new mutual visa exemption agreements with Singapore and Malaysia. On Thursday, China and Singapore agreed to a 30-day visa-free travel arrangement for ordinary passport holders, effective from February 9, coinciding with the Chinese Lunar New Year's Eve. This initiative allows citizens from both nations to travel, visit family, and conduct business with greater ease.

Building on this momentum, China and Malaysia granted visa-free entry to each other's citizens in December, further simplifying travel between the two countries. With these agreements, China now enjoys mutual visa exemption with 157 countries, has streamlined visa procedures with 44 nations, and holds comprehensive mutual visa exemptions with 22 countries, including Singapore, the Maldives, and Kazakhstan.

These efforts reflect China's commitment to fostering international relationships and facilitating seamless travel for business and leisure, benefiting millions of global travelers and strengthening economic and cultural ties across regions.
