New Documentary ‘The Call of Glaciers’ Highlights Climate Change in Qinghai-Xizang Plateau

\"The Call of Glaciers\" is a 30-minute documentary that delves into the pressing issue of climate change in the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, one of the most sensitive regions to environmental shifts. The film follows Palyang, a young Tibetan girl from Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in northwest China's Qinghai Province, as she joins a local environmental protection group to gain a deeper understanding of how climate change is reshaping her hometown.

Throughout her journey, Palyang travels to Amne Machin snow mountain, a sacred site in Tibetan culture, to witness firsthand the effects of climate change. Her exploration leads her back to the water sources in Yushu City, where she uncovers critical insights into the environmental challenges faced by her community.

\"The Call of Glaciers\" will be broadcast this Saturday on CGTN's official website, CGTN App, Yangshipin App, Facebook, YouTube, and other social media platforms, offering viewers a compelling look at the human and environmental impact of climate change in this unique region.
