Guangzhou Zoo Welcomes Majestic Komodo Dragons for 2024 Year of the Dragon

In celebration of the upcoming 2024 \"Year of the Dragon,\" Chimelong Safari Park in Guangzhou, Guangdong, has introduced a captivating group of Komodo dragons to the public. This exciting addition marks China\'s largest Komodo dragon breeding base, with 25 successfully bred specimens now residing in the park.

Komodo dragons, native to Indonesia\'s Komodo Island and surrounding areas, are renowned for their impressive size and strength. Some of Guangzhou\'s newest residents have already surpassed two meters in length, showcasing the park\'s successful breeding programs.

To accommodate and showcase these magnificent creatures, Chimelong is in the process of constructing a new Komodo dragon exhibition hall. The state-of-the-art facility is expected to open its doors before the Chinese New Year in February, offering visitors an immersive experience to learn more about these extraordinary reptiles.

This significant development not only highlights Guangzhou\'s commitment to wildlife conservation but also enhances its reputation as a premier destination for animal enthusiasts and tourists alike.
