Hair loss is a common concern that affects people of all ages, and it's not just a cosmetic issue. From celebrities to the average Joe and Jane, the struggle to maintain a full head of hair is universal.
In a recent conversation with Professor Liu Ling from Xijing Hospital at Air Force Medical University, CGTN delved into the science and causes of hair loss. Professor Liu shared an easy method to estimate hair loss during showers and highlighted which groups are more prone to losing hair.
Interestingly, hair loss among Gen Zers is becoming increasingly prevalent, with more middle and high school students seeking her advice. This trend underscores that hair loss is not limited to older populations but is a growing concern among younger individuals as well.
Looking ahead, Professor Liu emphasized that Chinese researchers are actively participating in global efforts to remedy hair loss. She envisions significant advancements in hair loss research, contributing to better treatments and solutions in the future.
(Note: Professor Liu has since moved to Tangdu Hospital under the same university. Gao Yuxin contributed to the story.)
