In a significant move to enhance regional connectivity and stimulate economic growth, Anhui province has launched two new low-altitude tourist routes. These routes, introduced on Friday, connect the provincial capital Hefei to Wuhu and subsequently to Huangshan, offering travelers unique aerial views of some of Anhui's most iconic landmarks.
Passengers embarking on the Hefei to Wuhu leg can board a small Cessna 208B aircraft, which cruisers at an altitude of 2,000 to 3,000 meters. The flights provide stunning panoramas of Luogang Central Park and the Wuhu Yangtze River Bridge, among other scenic spots. With a capacity of up to six passengers, each flight ensures an intimate and personalized sightseeing experience over Anhui's picturesque landscapes.
These new routes are part of a broader initiative aimed at promoting low-altitude tourism and fostering economic development within the region. The initiative was prominently featured during the 2024 Low-Altitude Economic Development Conference held in Wuhu. At the conference, various low-altitude economic products were showcased, and officials unveiled ambitious plans to establish 30 exemplary low-altitude application scenarios across Anhui by 2025.
This strategic development is expected to attract more tourists, create new business opportunities, and position Anhui as a leader in innovative tourism solutions. By leveraging low-altitude tourism, Anhui is not only enhancing its appeal as a travel destination but also contributing to the sustainable growth of its local economy.
