Among the highlights were two humanoid robots actively engaged in everyday tasks—one managing cash transactions and another busy in the kitchen, effortlessly producing a perfect cup of cappuccino within minutes.
At the entrance of the conference, the most human-like robots were on display, boasting lifelike skin, facial features, and the capability to engage in meaningful conversations with visitors. While their movements retained a slightly mechanical quality, their extensive knowledge bases enabled smooth and natural interactions, bridging the gap between humans and machines.
Over the past decade, humanoid robots have evolved significantly. From performing basic movements, today’s models can run, jump, execute precise tasks, and even exhibit creative abilities. This evolution marks a shift from mere exhibition pieces to practical, real-world applications.
A Shift to Real-World Application
Beyond individual displays, several companies presented humanoid robots designed for industrial tasks such as vehicle inspections, material sorting, and heavy lifting. These products are nearing mass production, signaling the next wave of commercial humanoid robotics.
Exhibitor Jiao Jichao shared insights into the future of these technologies, stating, \"We are currently doing practical training in different factories. By the end of this year, we plan to deliver a small batch of robots to customers.\" He added, \"In three to five years, we hope robots will be as readily accessible as smartphones or other automated equipment, where customers can use them right out of the box.\"
These developments highlight the growing integration of humanoid robots into both everyday life and industrial settings, promising enhanced efficiency and new possibilities across various sectors.
