China-Europe Railway Express Sees 11% Surge in Freight Volume This Year

The China-Europe Railway Express has demonstrated significant growth in the first seven months of the year, with a total of 11,403 trains transporting nearly 1.23 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of goods. This marks an impressive increase of 12% in train operations and 11% in freight volume compared to the same period last year, according to data from the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd.

July saw 1,776 trains transport 185,000 TEUs of goods, making it the third consecutive month with over 1,700 trains in operation. These figures highlight the robust performance and reliability of the Railway Express in maintaining and expanding international trade routes.

To achieve this growth, the railway operator has implemented several strategic measures, including the strengthening of transportation channels, enhancing transshipment capabilities at border ports, and promoting a rapid customs clearance model. These initiatives have been crucial in ensuring the stability and efficiency of global supply chains.

By continuously improving service quality and operational efficiency, the China-Europe Railway Express is playing a vital role in supporting China's foreign trade and its commitment to high-level opening up, thereby contributing to the global economy's resilience and interconnectedness.
