China Eastern Airlines Welcomes Seventh C919 Aircraft, Expanding Domestic Fleet

China Eastern Airlines (CEA) has proudly received its seventh domestically developed C919 passenger plane from the Commercial Aircraft Corp of China in Shanghai this Monday. This latest delivery, coded B-919H, marks the third C919 aircraft that CEA has welcomed this year alone.

The new aircraft made its delivery flight from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, showcasing the seamless efficiency of CEA’s expanding fleet. The C919 is currently operating four key routes from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport: to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport in Sichuan Province, Beijing Daxing International Airport, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport in Shaanxi Province, and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in Guangdong Province.

Since its maiden commercial flight on May 28, 2023, the C919 has completed 3,031 commercial flights, successfully transporting nearly 405,000 passengers. This impressive achievement underscores the C919’s role in enhancing China’s domestic aviation capabilities and meeting the growing demands of air travel across the region.

As CEA continues to integrate the C919 into its fleet, the airline is poised to offer more efficient and comfortable travel options for passengers, while also supporting China’s ambitions in advancing its aerospace technology and reducing dependence on foreign aircraft manufacturers.
