July 1 marked the 27th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China, a significant milestone for the city. In an insightful discussion with CGTN's Enoch Wong, Stanley Ying, co-lead and co-founder of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) Web 3.0 Labs, shared his vision for Hong Kong's future.
Ying emphasized Hong Kong's potential to become a leading international innovation and technology center. He attributed this promising outlook to the effective implementation of the One Country, Two Systems framework, which has been instrumental in fostering growth and facilitating international exchanges.
Highlighting the importance of cross-cultural exposure, Ying encouraged Hong Kong's youth to regularly visit the Chinese mainland. He believes that such interactions can provide invaluable inspiration and help young individuals broaden their perspectives, ultimately contributing to the city's dynamic tech landscape.
