The document, released by the national data bureau alongside several other government departments, outlines strategies to deeply integrate digital technologies with the economy, governance, and daily life. Chen Ronghui, deputy head of the national data bureau, emphasized the importance of embedding data into every phase of urban development to enhance efficiency and quality of life.
\"To facilitate the high-quality development, high-efficiency governance, and high-quality life in urban areas, the integration and development of data will be incorporated into the entire urban digital transformation process,\" Chen explained.
Wu Xiaoning, another official with the bureau, highlighted that the digital transformation will touch all aspects of urban life, including planning, construction, management, services, and operations. To achieve these goals, the guidelines propose establishing robust platforms for urban digitization, upgrading digital infrastructure, and fostering institutional innovations tailored to the needs of modern urban management.
