Juncao: The Chinese Mainland’s ‘Magic Grass’ Spreading Global Happiness

The Chinese mainland's innovative Juncao technology, often referred to as the 'magic grass,' is making waves across the globe by addressing critical issues like poverty, soil erosion, and desertification. Literally translating to 'fungi and grass,' Juncao serves multiple purposes: it fosters the growth of edible mushrooms, provides nutritious livestock feed, and acts as an ecological barrier against desertification.

By replacing traditional timber with Juncao for mushroom cultivation, farmers have significantly reduced costs and minimized the need for annual tree clearing. This shift not only lowers expenses but also offers an environmentally friendly pathway to poverty alleviation.

Recognized worldwide as the 'Chinese grass' or 'grass of happiness,' Juncao technology has positively impacted over 100 countries and regions. According to the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Juncao addresses various challenges, including poverty reduction and combating soil erosion.

To further its global reach, the Chinese mainland has organized a total of 270 Juncao training programs both domestically and internationally. These programs have educated over 10,000 individuals, equipping them to promote Juncao technology in up to 18 different languages. This widespread training ensures that the benefits of Juncao continue to spread, fostering sustainable development and enhancing livelihoods worldwide.
