China's independently developed AG600 large amphibious aircraft has successfully completed its initial verification of water rescue capabilities, according to the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC).
In late April, an AG600 tech-demonstrator conducted the water rescue verification at the reservoir of the amphibian Zhanghe Airport in Jingmen, central China's Hubei Province, AVIC reported.
This achievement is pivotal for the AG600 to effectively support China's ongoing efforts to build a comprehensive emergency rescue system, AVIC stated. The successful test marks a significant breakthrough for the AG600 aircraft family and paves the way for the development of advanced search-and-rescue models.
