The vibrant city of Beijing has officially opened the 2024 Zhongguancun Forum (ZGC Forum), setting the stage for a five-day event that promises to push the boundaries of technology and innovation. Running until next Monday, the forum is themed \"Innovating for a Better World\" and will delve into groundbreaking fields such as artificial intelligence, life sciences, and new materials.
This year’s annual conference is structured into five major sections, including high-level meetings and extensive technology trading sessions. Attendees can look forward to nearly 120 events that facilitate the exchange of brilliant ideas in areas like 6G technology and blockchain, among other frontier topics.
A highlight of the forum is the unveiling of major scientific and technological achievements, showcasing the latest advancements and fostering an environment of collaboration and inspiration. The competitions held during the event have already attracted over 3,100 entries from 75 countries and regions, while the technology trading section has seen more than 6,000 projects from upwards of 40 countries and regions.
Reflecting its global reach, the ZGC Forum has brought together participants from over 100 countries and regions. Impressively, more than half of the forum’s speakers are international, underscoring China’s dedication to openness and cooperative innovation on the global stage.
Since its inception in 2007, the ZGC Forum has grown into a national-level open innovation platform and an international forum, continually focusing on fostering innovation and development. Nestled in northwestern Beijing, Zhongguancun is home to over 17,000 national high-tech enterprises and is celebrated as \"China's Silicon Valley,\" marking it as the country’s first national high-tech industrial development zone.
