China-Germany Partnership: Powering the Future of Science and Technology

China and Germany, two economic powerhouses, are deepening their collaboration in the fields of science and technology. This robust partnership is fostering innovation and driving advancements across multiple sectors, benefiting both nations and the global community.

Joint Research Fuels Progress

At the heart of this partnership are joint research initiatives. A standout example is the collaboration between the German carmaker BMW and the Chinese battery giant Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL). Together, they are developing next-generation battery technology that is crucial for the future of electric vehicles.

In addition to BMW, other renowned German automobile brands are seeking or have already established cooperation with China's new-energy supply chain, enhancing their competitive edge in the global market.

The Max Planck Society and the Chinese Academy of Sciences operate a dedicated research center focused on tackling challenges like neurodegenerative diseases, pushing the boundaries of life sciences.
