The National Intellectual Property Administration (NIPA) announced the establishment or operation of 71 national intellectual property (IP) protection centers across the Chinese mainland. These centers are strategically distributed across 28 provinces and autonomous regions, encompassing all four municipalities.
Recently, NIPA approved the construction of a new IP protection center in Chongqing Municipality. This center is set to specialize in rapid collaborative IP protection for emerging sectors such as information technology and biotechnology. The addition of the Chongqing center enhances the regional distribution of IP protection facilities, facilitating the concentration of innovation resources.
Once operational, the Chongqing center will play a pivotal role in accelerating industrial transformation and upgrading, optimizing the business environment, and promoting high-quality economic development. This expansion underscores the Chinese mainland's commitment to fostering a robust environment for innovation and sustainable growth.
