EHang Launches World’s First Certified eVTOL for Mass Production

In a groundbreaking move for urban air mobility, China's civil aviation authorities have granted EHang a Production Certificate (PC) for the EH216-S, marking it as the world's first certified electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft ready for mass production.

The EH216-S is a pilotless, passenger-carrying eVTOL developed by Guangzhou-based EHang, a leading company in urban air mobility technology. This certification by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) signifies a major milestone, enabling the aircraft's commercial operations and setting a precedent in the global eVTOL industry.

Last year, EHang secured the Type Certificate (TC) and standard airworthiness certificate (AC) for the EH216-S, paving the way for its current approval. With this PC, EHang is poised to scale up production, making advanced air mobility solutions more accessible and transforming the future of urban transportation.

As cities around the world seek sustainable and efficient transport alternatives, EHang's certified eVTOL represents a significant advancement in technology and innovation, promising to revolutionize how we navigate urban landscapes.
