El Clasico Hero: Bellingham’s Strike Propels Real Madrid Past Barcelona

Real Madrid edged past Barcelona 2-1 in a gripping El Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu, thanks to Jude Bellingham’s decisive volley.

Under Xabi Alonso’s guidance, Madrid took the lead in the 20th minute when Kylian Mbappé slotted home, only for Fermin López to level early on. Bellingham’s finish just before half-time proved decisive, snapping Barcelona’s four-match winning streak in the fixture.

Barcelona playmaker Pedri was sent off late on after a second yellow, but Madrid’s defence held firm, securing their ninth win in 10 La Liga games and stretching their lead to five points at the top.

“We didn’t play how we wanted against Atletico, but today we showed our quality,” said Aurélien Tchouaméni. “We must build on this momentum.” Alonso added: “Beating Barcelona gives us the confidence to win big games.”

Barcelona’s stand-in coach Marcus Sorg, covering for the suspended Hansi Flick, remained upbeat: “With 28 games left, our season is wide open.”

From digital nomads to esports fans, millions tuned in worldwide to witness an El Clasico packed with flair, tension, and a reminder of why this rivalry captivates a global audience.
