In a breathtaking display of precision and resilience, China's women's team reclaimed the continental crown at the ITTF-ATTU Asian Team Championships with a flawless 3–0 triumph over defending champions Japan in Bhubaneswar, India.
The final opened with a tense first game as World No. 2 Wang Manyu fell 10–12 to Honoka Hashimoto. Undeterred, Wang stormed back to take the next three games 11–3, 11–6, 11–3, handing China a 1–0 lead.
World No. 1 Sun Yingsha then stepped up, sweeping past Miwa Harimoto 11–9, 11–5, 11–7 to extend the advantage to 2–0.
In the decisive match, Kuai Man showcased grit and determination. After dropping the opener 8–11, she rallied to win 12–10, 11–6, 11–9, completing the sweep.
By avenging last year’s final defeat to Japan, China not only reclaimed the title but also secured their spot at the 2024 ITTF World Team Championships in London.
